Hebrews

Hebrews 1

v04: having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

v14:  Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Hebrews 2

v14: Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

v18: For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.

Hebrews 3

v12:  Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;

v13:  but exhort one another daily, while it is called "Today," lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Hebrews 4

v02:  For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

v10:  For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

v12:  For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

v13:  And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

v15:  For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.

v16:  Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 6

v04:  For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit,

v05:  and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come,

v06:  if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame.

Hebrews 7

v03:  without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.

v09:  Even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham, so to speak,

Hebrews 8

v06: But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises.

v12: For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."

Hebrews 9

v12: Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

v22: And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.

v27: And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,

Hebrews 10

Christ's Death Perfects the Sanctified

v11: And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

v12:  But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God,

v17: then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."

v23:  Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

v25: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

v31: It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Hebrews 11

The Honor Roll of the Faithful

v01: Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

v06: But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The Heavenly Hope

v13: These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Hebrews 12

Renew Your Spiritual Life

v01: Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

v02: looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

The Discipline of God

v03: For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.

v11: Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

v14: Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

v15: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Hebrews 13

v02: Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

v03: Remember the prisoners as if chained with them--those who are mistreated--since you yourselves are in the body also.

v05: Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you."

v06: So we may boldly say: "The LORD is my helper; I will not fear.  What can man do to me?"

v08: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

v17: Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.
