Technique Of The Month
Conquering Shield
Attack: The opponent is standing in front of you, grabbing your lapel with his left hand. He is preparing to deliver a right punch towards your face.
Defense:
-
From a natural stance have your left hand pin the opponent's left hand to your chest/lapel. Execute a right inward upward-diagonal glancing forearm strike against the outside of his left elbow joint area as you simultaneously deliver a floating right front snap kick to his right knee joint area. At the completion of this motion your right fist is in vertical punch position in front of, or over, the opponent's head and your right elbow is chambered above his left elbow joint area.
-
Plant your foot into a right wide kneel stance as you simultaneously execute a right downward elbow strike to his right bicep or forearm, forcing his head down and towards you. Without hesitation raise up into a right neutral bow as you execute a right upward elbow to the opponent's chin (shuffling in if necessary). Continue your motion by sinking back into the right wide kneel stance as you deliver a right downward heel-palm claw to his face.
-
Right front crossover and cover out towards 6:00 - 7:30.
